Konrad Hochedlinger, Harvard University, USA
Konrad Hochedlinger, PhD, is a Professor of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology at Harvard University and a member of the Department of Molecular Biology and Center for Regenerative Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Vienna and his graduate and post-graduate training with Dr. Rudolf Jaenisch at MIT. Dr. Hochedlinger’s lab studies the molecular mechanisms that control normal development, tissue regeneration and cancer. His lab has made important contributions to our understanding of how transcription factors rewire the epigenetic state of cells during cellular reprogramming and related fate transitions. Dr. Hochedlinger is the recipient of the ISSCR Outstanding Young Investigator Award, the Harland Winfield Mossman Award for Developmental Biology and an HHMI Early Career Award.
